NEW BUSINESS ~~
2012-2013 budget proposal
Mrs. DiCamillo has received the capital budget forms from the Finance Dept. She will request $15,000 for the FY2012/2013 budget, a little more than the $12,260 which was approved for FY2011/2012. The additional funds may be needed for storm related tree damage.
17 McCurdy Road- request for planting
Mrs. DiCamillo met onsite with First Selectman Tim Griswold and Mr. and Mrs. Caulfield. They would like the town to plant a tree or shrubs on the southeast side of McCurdy Road, along the Duck River bank, to screen their property from the traffic on McCurdy Road and Johnnycake Hill Road. Small trees and brush were removed when the town repaired the Duck River culvert and now the Caulfields are bothered by vehicle headlights. The town-owned area, between the river and the guard rail, is fairly small and occasionally floods which limits the planting choices. Mrs. DiCamillo suggested a map of the area, showing the boundaries, be reviewed to determine if there is adequate space for planting. She also proposed new plantings on the homeowners’ property which could help to resolve
their problem. Members are asked to take a look at the area and make suggestions via email to Mrs. DiCamillo.
OLD BUSINESS

The Sill Lane enhanced trimming project is still scheduled. Mrs. DiCamillo has requested a list of trees to be trimmed and removed. She has drafted an informational letter that may be sent to the homeowners affected by the project.
